Welcome to ARCI’s Green Apèro! 🌱 Monday will see the start of the COP29, the much anticipated climate summit. As citizens, we are responsible of our choices. Not only our daily choices - such as recycling, public transports or bikes over cars, limit our meat consumption, etc - but also at a higher level. We choose when we vote, we choose when we hold our elected representative accountable, we choose when we boycott. 💥On Saturday, we will discuss with @can.europe and @fossilfreeeu the local aspects of the climate emergency, and how can regular citizens integrate climate awareness into our everyday life and political choices, especially as people living in the European bubble. What is the political situation when it comes to climate policies? How does it relate with the EU bubble? what should citizen be careful about? How can we hold decision makers accountable?⚡we are looking for volunteers! Join our WhatsApp group if you’re up for it.🌻You will find food, birrette, spritz, and good company.📍 Elzenhof, Av. De la Couronne 12🍻 Spritz, birretta and food from 18.30h🗣️ presentations around 19.30/20h
ARCI (not so) Bookclub is a space for people who love reading to talk about books and discuss various topics through readings. 🎈Our next meeting is on Thursday 7 November at 18:30. We will meet at Kamilou Arts Loi, Rue Joseph II 36. FB event: fb.me/e/43L2OAdzXThe theme of the meeting will be “Women Authors”.Share your recommendations in the comments to inspire fellow bookclubbers!📚The ARCI (not so) Bookclub is not your typical bookclub: we will not read all the same book and discuss it, but we organise thematic meetings and exchanges on readings we have done on that issue. The discussions will be broad and not very structured, which will leave space for creativity and unexpected turns.🗣️ English⚠️ Event open to ARCI members. Possibility to get the membership card 2024/25 in loco (10 EUR)
